ye dharma hetu prabhava

ye dharma in LantsaReplaced Tibetan, and added images of Lantsa (left), Sinhala (Pāli) scripts to the Ye dharma page. This phrase is often called the Buddhist credo (Latin: I believe)

Ye dharmā hetuprabhavā hetuṃ teṣāṃ tathāgataḥ hyavadat teṣāṃ ca yo nirodha evaṃ vādī mahāśramaṇaḥ

  1. Hi,

The updated page looks cool !

महाश्रमणः is written as महाशमणः, श is missing the subjoint ra.

    It should have been: མ་ཧཱ་ཤྲ་མ་ཎཿ

    BTW

what font you are using for Sinhala ?

  2. Hi Vinodh

Thanks again. It's good to have someone who can actually read the scripts taking an interest.

For Sinhala I'm using a font called 'Iskoola Pota'. Not sure where I got it from, but it seems quite attractive.

    Best wishes

    Just noticed this.

Isn't your Siddham Text missing "da" in "hya va da t " ?

  4. Yes. Sigh. I can't spell for nuts in any of the languages I know.

  5. I love this blog! I just joined this cause called Last Voices that does daily mantras with photographs and quotes and stuff. They explore cultural sustainability through art, music, and film. I just got out of college and starting to work for a global cause out of school was great. You forget there is a life beyond campus. If you want to check out what they do you should see their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Last-Voices/213978194896?ref=ts
